Schwalbe Eddy Current Front Evolution Super Trail ADDIX Soft TLE E-MTB Folding Tyre

The Schwalbe Eddy Current Front Evolution in the Super Trail variety is part of the newest stage of development for the Evolution Line mountain bike tyres, and beyond that, the one “true” E-MTB tyre from Schwalbe.

With the Super Trail casing, this front tyre is a versatile all-rounder for e-bikes. It is especially well-suited for Trail and All-Mountain tracks, but can also handle demanding Enduro routes. The tyre is equipped with the “Super Trail” casing, which was specially equipped for those intended uses, and comes with a three-layer carcass. An Apex insert at the sides and a chafer placed directly against the bead combine to offer additional protection from punctures and grinding at the rim. The proven SnakeSkin insert, providing excellent cut protection, isn’t just built into the side walls, but also along the entire surface.
In addition, Schwalbe has introduced a foldable bead core and improved tubeless mounting.

The Eddy Current is an absolute specialist for aggressive All-Mountain and Enduro tours. With stable knobs, more rubber and more width, it looks much more massive than most mountain bike tyres. And despite, or maybe because of that, it allows for uncompromising rides on ascents, as well as descents on technical and blocked trails. Strong acceleration with high pedal assistance and abrupt braking when reaching the grip limit aren’t too much of a bother for this tyre.

The tread of Schwalbe’s Current Front with ADDIX Soft rubber compound is specifically designed for the front wheel and stands out for aggressive tread blocks with an open design providing high grip, precise steering and excellent self-cleaning properties.

Taking into account the high weight of modern e-mountain bikes and the requirements of tough terrains, Schwalbe has given the Eddy Current Front a Super Trail casing. Laterally stiff in fast-taken corners, impact-resistant yet very dynamic, it gives the Eddy Current Front the strength it needs to survive tough e-MTB use over a long time.

Tip:
The Eddy Current was designed with adjustments for the front as well as rear wheels. Schwalbe recommends combining the Eddy Current Front with the Eddy Current Rear (product code 2306311) for the rear wheel.
