Intelligent technology for your rhythm
The Shimano Q'AUTO is an automatic shifting system that adapts seamlessly to your riding style – without a battery and without any effort. A built-in sensor in the rear wheel continuously measures speed, cadence and incline, ensuring smooth gear changes in every riding situation. The system generates the energy required for this itself while riding, so no recharging is necessary.
Flexible, convenient, customised
If the selected gear does not suit the situation, you can correct it manually – the system remembers your adjustment and optimises future gear changes. Alternatively, the automatic mode can also be completely deactivated so that you can shift manually at all times. All at the touch of a button on the handlebar.

Category 2
This category applies to bicycles and e-bikes* that meet the conditions of category 1 and are ridden on normal roads as well as in category 2 on unpaved roads and gravel paths with moderate inclines and descents. The tyres are in constant contact with the ground at average speed and they are only occasionally ridden over steps and drops of less than 15 cm. These conditions can lead to contact with uneven terrain and the tyre repeatedly losing contact with the ground. The intended use is, for example, recreational riding. You don’t require any special riding skills.
