The uvex SURGE AERO MIPS LTD ED 26 sets a new benchmark in aerodynamics, air circulation and safety, and is presented here in the Julia Schuler Limited Edition 2026. This performance race helmet, designed for peak performance, was developed in collaboration with the professionals from the Intermarché-Wanty team and former professional cyclists from the international cycling scene. A standard-fit aero cover covers part of the large vents, thereby significantly reducing aerodynamic drag. If you prefer a more airy feel, simply remove the aero cover. That way, you get two helmets in one. A multi-inmould construction with an injected foam safety cage ensures a high level of stability. The weight remains appealing. The MIPS AIR NODE safety system provides effective protection for the head and brain. On impact, the extremely lightweight safety inlay reliably absorbs the centrifugal and rotational forces acting on it. A practical feature is the built-in glasses holder. Mountain classification. Highlights & Technologies:

MIPS AIR NODE:
When a head rotates quickly and comes to a sudden stop, the rotational acceleration may cause the brain tissue to experience high levels of strain. This stretching of the tissue caused by these motions may result in various types of brain injury. MIPS is designed with the intent to address rotational acceleration from impact.
The MIPS AIR NODE system is a low-friction layer laminated to the base of the comfort padding. It is connected to the energy-absorbing helmet lining with Velcro fasteners. In the event of oblique impacts, the "nodes" are designed to release locally so that the padding can slide and the rotational movement of the head can be reduced. The Mips Air Node system ensures movement inside the helmet to reduce the rotational movement of the head in the event of an impact at a certain angle and thus reduce the risk of injury. The system remains fixed until movement is required, as it is only released on impact. The Mips Air Node padding can of course be removed, washed by hand and dried at room temperature.

MULTI INMOULD:
The tried and tested inmould construction, in which the inner shell is foamed directly under the outer shell under pressure and heat, is supplemented by additional polycarbonate outer shells. A seamless construction means that the shells are firmly connected to each other and there are no edges.

3D IAS PRO:
A height- and width-adjustable, anatomical half ring allows you to individually adapt the helmet to your head size. The system ensures especially precise and almost infinite adjustment. In addition, the adjustment system is particularly lightweight without compromising on performance or comfort.

The reflective design elements attached to the clothing as decoration do not represent a personal protective equipment as mentioned in EU regulation 2016/425. Thus, they are also not covered by the provisions of the regulation.
