The PR 1400 DICUT® OXiC 32 front wheel belongs to the premier class of DT Swiss aluminium road wheels for rim brakes. It stands out for a low weight as well as outstanding braking performance and durability thanks to ceramic OXiC coating!
The stable and lightweight rim has an excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio. With its stability, it makes a crucial contribution to the durability and reliability of the rear wheel.
In a tubeless set up, the wheel shows even more comfort and grip in addition to its athletic character. The elegant 240 Dicut® front hub rounds off the first-class construction of the aluminium wheel. The PR 1400 DICUT® OXiC 32 thus cleverly meets high demands in training or competition!
Technologies:
• OXiC TECHNOLOGY:
The OXiC process refers to an electrochemical ceramic coating that makes the rim surfaces very hard and resistant. The result is a high-end, matt black finish which has excellent braking properties in all conditions, including wet conditions. What’s more, it also reduces abrasion on the rim to an absolute minimum. Unlike conventional aluminium rims, which wear out due to the abrasion and heat generated by brake pads and environmental particles, the OXiC surface is so hard that it is virtually unaffected by these influences over a normal wheel life. DT Swiss wheels OXiC rim flanges must be used with specific brake pads.
• TUBELESS:
All DT Swiss wheels are tubeless ready. The profiles of the DT Swiss rims are specially designed for tubeless use. The rim profile makes it easier to fit the right tyre and ensures a perfect fit. The tubeless system of the rim consists of DT Swiss tubeless ready tape for sealing and a DT Swiss tubeless valve in a length that complies with the rim. When using tubeless ready tyres, a compatible sealant must be used. However, it is also possible to use a conventional combination of tyre and inner tube.
• BEARINGS:
Having learned from years of experience, DT Swiss only uses durable cartridge bearings without bearing play adjustment. DT Swiss hubs are designed to have the optimum axial and radial bearing play when they are properly installed. The correct preload of the bearings to compensate for the clamping force of the wheel mounting system is the basis for a play-free hub with minimum friction.

Classification
Category 1
This category applies to bicycles and e-bikes* ridden on normal, paved roads and paths, where the tyres are in constant contact with the ground at average speed and they are only occasionally ridden over steps and drops. The average speed is 15 to 25 km/h and the height of occasional steps and drops must remain below 15cm. The intended use is, for example, recreational riding. You don't require any special riding skills.
Average speed 15 to 25 km/h
Permitted height of steps and drops: < 15 cm
