The Samox/M-Wave chainring for first and third generation Bosch drives and Brose drives is specially designed for use on e-bikes. On an e-bike, the chain, chainring and sprocket transmit the high drive forces to the rear wheel and are therefore subject to particular stress and excessive wear. The higher weight of the electrically powered bike also contributes to this. Even if all components are well cared for, they will need to be replaced at some point to ensure proper function and power transmission.
