SHIMANO DEORE XT BL-M8200/BR-M8220 Front Disc Brake 4-piston

Enduro and trail riders can expect maximum SHIMANO performance with the XT BR-M8220 disc brake. 4-piston technology at its best for even more speed, focus and control. 
Thanks to the revised SERVOWAVE technology, the total system impresses with fast brake response and modulation, so that no descent is too steep and no trail is too challenging.

With the completely redesigned brake unit with I-SPEC EV clamp, the end of the hydraulic reservoir rests directly on the handlebar. The additional support in the direction of lever swing increases stiffness and stability when braking aggressively and thus provides improved brake feel and control on the trail. Moreover, the pivot point comes with a different design than its predecessor and ensures a more natural finger movement. The lever reach can be easily adapted using an integrated adjustment wheel.

The hydraulic system is filled with SHIMANO LOW VISCOSITY mineral oil, which has a significantly lower viscosity compared to SHIMANO standard mineral oil. This enables faster and more precise transmission of the brake pressure as well as consistent braking behaviour in different conditions and temperatures.
