Get ready for your best cycling tours! The GARMIN Edge Explore 2 GPS bike navigator will find the best route and reliably take you to your destination. You’ll have an easy time discovering new paths on and off the tarmac with the three-inch colour touch display, simple operation and intelligent navigation functions.

The Edge Explore 2 is a big update to GARMIN’s popular navigation devices for recreational cyclists: more battery power, more satellite support, more route info, more connectivity and more convenient features for you. Thanks to the altimeter and ClimbPro function, you can now always correctly assess upcoming climbs. Map overlays with popular cycling routes (Trendline Popularity) will help you plan your routes and actively avoid busy sections. Just like with previous models, you can tailor tours based on distance, direction and starting point. E-bikers with compatible drive systems can also look forward to the inclusion of remaining battery capacities in the new e-bike routing.

But sporty cyclists also benefit from the Edge Explore 2’s extended features: you can now connect power metres, control indoor trainers or – assuming compatible sensors – have it calculate the fitness value VO2max and recommended recovery times. Select from three activity profiles and enjoy the easy process of setting up everything in real-time via smartphone or music control on the Edge display. Plus, GARMIN has also put thought into the safety functions – use the integrated bike alarm feature and find the last position of your Edge via smartphone. This is a great update that will turn everyone, from regular cyclists to sporty touring bikers, into fans of the Edge Explore 2.

• ROUTABLE MAPS: The pre-installed GARMIN Europe bike map always reliably shows you the way with turn-by-turn directions. If you ever deviate from the planned route, the route is recalculated directly on the Edge. You can also pause the route guidance and off-course notifications while you go off-course to explore.
• TOUR-SPECIFIC OVERLAYS: Find your way around like a local, no matter what bike you ride. Use the optimised map views to see popular roads and trails and highlight busy areas to avoid.
• ROUTE PLANNING: Get trip suggestions based on distance, direction and starting point or plan your routes in detail in GARMIN Connect. You can have the planned routes from platforms such as Strava and Komoot automatically synchronised.
• E-BIKE COMPATIBILITY: If you have an e-bike that is compatible with Shimano Steps or ANT+® LEV technology, you can see a special e-bike status page with data fields, such as battery life and more. Even smart routing and range alerts based on battery level, motor assist and planned route are available.
• CLIMBPRO: Before tackling a climb, ClimbPro provides you with information on gradient, distance and metres to climb. This way you can optimally manage your energy.


Protect yourself and your bike!

• INCIDENT DETECTION*: The Edge Explore 2 automatically sends a message with your location to pre-installed emergency contacts when an incident is detected.
• BIKE ALARM*: If your bike is moved while you are away, an audible alarm will sound and you will receive a message on your smartphone – if you’re in Bluetooth range.
• FIND MY EDGE*: View the last known position of your Edge on your smartphone, for example, if you lose it in a fall.
• VARIA COMPATIBILITY: Pair your Varia Radar for safer cycling. This allows you to detect vehicles from a distance of up to 140 metres and draw attention to yourself with the bright rear light.
• INREACH COMPATIBLE: Stay on the safe side even without mobile phone reception. When it is paired with a GARMIN inReach device (sold separately, subscription required), you can share your location with contacts or send an SOS via the Iridium satellite network to the 24/7 staffed IERCC emergency call centre.
